We are looking for an Assistant Headteacher – Pastoral, Behaviour and Attendance to join our vibrant and wonderful team at Bamford Academy, part of Altus Education Partnership.

About the role

As an Assistant Headteacher, you will play a pivotal leadership role, supporting the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher to ensure the highest standards of education and fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading school improvement initiatives and driving high-quality teaching and learning.
• Overseeing the Pastoral, Behaviour and Attendance elements of primary education, while taking class responsibility (KS1 or KS2).
• Ensuring high-quality education for all pupils, supporting their progress and achievement.
• Assisting in the strategic leadership and implementation of policies relating to curriculum, data, and assessment.
• Contributing to school activities, such as INSET, staff meetings, and parental engagement events.

About the School

A vibrant and wonderfully diverse school in Rochdale. We are two-form entry school, with fourteen classes from Reception to Year 6. Our experienced staff provide a broad, balanced, inclusive and exciting curriculum and plan for enriching learning experiences for all. We promote a love for learning so that our children will become proud and resilient young people. The staff are committed to challenging our pupils to think hard and have high aspirations.
