Job Title: Teacher of History
Reports to: Head of Humanities
Remuneration: Main Teacher Pay Scale
Contract: Permanent, Full Time (37 hrs per week, term-time only)
Start Date: September 2025
About the Role:
Edgar Wood Academy is seeking an inspiring and dedicated Teacher of History to join our dynamic Humanities Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to shape engaging learning experiences and foster a love for history among our students.

The Role:
The successful candidate will:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Inspire curiosity and critical thinking by bringing history to life through innovative teaching strategies.
- Contribute to curriculum development and extracurricular opportunities within the department.
- Support students' academic progress and personal development.

About You:
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds QTS and has experience delivering History lessons to a high standard.
- Is passionate about teaching and inspiring students to appreciate and understand historical events and perspectives.
- Has strong classroom management skills and builds positive relationships with students.
- Is committed to supporting students in reaching their full potential.
